Having made commercial murals as large as 8x40 feet in the 1970’s with emerging digital technology, this limitation was a source of frustration, as many of my images demanded scale. To answer this challenge, I made a negative holder that travels on tracks so I can print small sections from a single negative on multiple sheets of large silver-gelatin paper in sequence and frame them as a three-panel triptych. Challenge met!
