Project Review: Brandenburg Properties

Sometimes we are lucky enough to meet a family that becomes their own.

For me, my friendship with the late Eric Brandenburg which began in 1970 became one such family. On this anniversary of what would have been his 67th birthday, I celebrate our friendship, his exceptional family, and the man himself.

This friendship ran deep. He was always there for me, supporting my work every step of the way, from his being the first to acquire The Unseen Peninsula limited-edition portfolio in 1992 to the affectionate care he provided for Julie and I when we were diagnosed with Lyme Disease in 2008. His regular visits and irrepressible sense of humor proved to be a godsend for us and our family during those dark years.

Over these five decades, my closeness to his family grew. I was fortunate to have the friendship of his late father Lee, and his fireplug of a mother Diane remains a dear friend and source of inspiration. Eric’s memory lives on in the spirit of his family’s company. their foundation, and in the memory of those who were lucky enough to know him.
