Eighteen Days in June

(1995-1996)

This body of work was made during my 1996 residency at the world-renowned Djerassi Resident Artists Program in Woodside, California, and was subsequently published in the year 2000 as a book to raise funds for the program’s endowment.  With an introduction by Robert Hass, former Poet Laureate of the United States under President Clinton, this collection is a testament to the power of “The Gift of Time” for which the program is known. Made with film that is blind to visible light but sensitive to the infrared spectrum, these images reach beyond the perceivable to the ineffable world beyond human sight.
