Djerassi/Buelteman Workshop

IMAGE AND IMAGINATION 2018

Is 2018 the year for you to give yourself the gift of time? - time to reflect, time to express, time to develop your creative self?  If so, there is no better place to do so than with me this August on the 583 acres of the Djerassi Resident Artists Program in Woodside, California. This extraordinary place, created in the memory of artist Pamela Djerassi, was the subject of my third book, Eighteen Days in June, which was published in 2000 to raise awareness and support of the program.

As an image-maker, what is your creative vision, and which techniques might best articulate and refine that vision? During this intensive and enriching six-night, seven-day workshop, we will explore several photographic techniques including cyanotypes, photogrammetry, digital capture, and time-lapse imaging, allowing us to work and play together towards our own individual discoveries. Our subjects will include the flora and landscape of the grounds of the Artists Program, the night sky, and, of course, ourselves.

Workshop is limited to 10 participants and the final deadline to apply is Wednesday May 16th, 2018.  Applicants accepted pending my review of your application.
